questions

Read these before you register your kids for the class

Do you charge anything for these classes?

These classes are 100% free. You can follow me on Twitter or LinkedIn to share ideas, suggestions or feedback.

Do you have any course material?

I have rough ideas but not yet something concrete that I can share. Also with kids the format and course will solidify after a few classes. My aim is to generate interest for programming in them and make them build something very small but fun using Swift. I hope you understand that it is difficult to pre-plan everything with kids but on other hand the advantage of personal class is that they are customized for your kid's need and not follow the same pattern.

Do you record videos?

No, recording high quality general videos takes time and there are plenty of them available on internet. My goal with these classes is to be more interactive and personal with your child and adopt as per individual need.

When this classes happen or what is the schedule?

I take out time out of my schedule to teach kids Swift. And this is the reason I cannot publish the schedule in advance. To begin with this is totally an ad hoc basis as and when I get time and enough kids. What I can say that these happen on most of the Saturday & Sunday at 15:00 hours Amsterdam time. I'll send details well a week in advance for you to plan.

What is the duration of the class?

Again, with kids difficult to pre-plan but somewhere between 40 mins to an hour.

Which Video calling software we will use?

We will use Google Meet for video calls. There will be an invite well in advance so you will know.

How many kids will be in one class?

Between 3 to 6 (including my 9 year old Kid)

Can you take kids < 5 years or >10 years old?

Depends, so message me on Twitter / LinkedIn first to check.

What do my kid need to attend class?

Internet, macBook or an iPad and the chosen video calling software. Kids can use your google or Zoom account. Optional earphones or headphones for better audio quality.

Is iPad or a MacBook is mandatory to attend the class?

Not mandatory but highly recommended. Why, well though kids can attend class using any device connected to Internet but in that case they won’t be able to write and try out code along with other kids using an iPad or MacBook. This means their experience of class would not be practical which I believe is not good for the kid. Your kid can attend the first class to try out but if you are want to continue I recommend you to arrange an iPad or a MacBook.

Can parents attend these classes?

No, this can distract other kids, and for you I recommend other recorded online courses but you can trust me your kids will enjoy the time with me and other kids.

What I need to do?

Make your child sit in a quiet room on time with a computer / iPad and after a small round of introduction we get started. You need to register first in this site and I will get in touch with you with more details.
